BIOGRAPHY
Gargamel! creates music that crosses the boundaries of metal, funk, reggae,
jazz, rap, and more to produce a modern rock sound unlike any other. The band’s
well polished, high energy performance, featuring lead singer Mandaddy’s
dramatic vocal abilities, has earned the group a large and diverse following
throughout the state of Florida. Gargamel! play their music with surprising
precision and always with tongue planted firmly in cheek. Their incendiary
and often amusing live show floors audiences each and every time. Well established
throughout Florida, Gargamel! has played every major concert venue, with multiple
shows at Orlando's House of Blues and Hard Rock Live! Gargamel!’s music
can be heard on Orlando radio stations WTKS Real Radio 104.1 FM, Real Rock
105.9FM, WJRR 101.1 FM, and WPRK 91.5 FM. You can also hear them on Planet
Radio 92.1 FM in West Palm Beach, Rock 104 in Gainesville, and The Buzzard
WMMS 100.7FM in Cleveland. Lead singer Mandaddy hosts the local music TV show
“Bootleg Television’’, seen on Fox affiliate WOFL-35, that
features local musicians and artists. Gargamel! has sold over 2000 copies
of their CD “Touch MyFun”, which won the CD of the Year award in
the 2001 Orlando Weekly Music Awards. In the same award show, Gargamel! also
received the Best Hard Edge Band award for the second year in a row. Their
latest offering, "The New Tenderness" is another refreshing change
of pace to the modern rock styles inundating the airwaves.
