Presently regarded as one of the tightest and most promising units in Orlando, they have confirmed all suspicions by winning 1st PLACE in the 2000 House of Blues Summer Series at Downtown Disney. With a full length studio CD to be released in the spring of 2002 and a handful of records labels showing interest, 2002 seems to be shaping up to be the "Year of the 'Villain!"

The Supervillains kicked off 2001 by demolishing the local attendance record at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida with over 2,000 guests through the door. The band then capped off the month by playing a pair of show for the "Sick Flicks", surf video tour sponsored by Rip Curl, Arnette, Sector 9 and Hurley, at the All-Star Café in South Beach, Miami Florida. The Orlando Weekly, nominated the Supervillains for the "Best Punk Band" in Orlando of the OMA (Orlando Music Awards). Connections Magazine also nominated the Supervillains as "Best Punk/Ska" for the PMA (People's Music Awards), which encompasses all of Central Florida. Connections also was quoted, (about the Supervillains), "one of the most professional and promising acts seen in the state!" After playing every reputable club in Orlando, the Supervillains have planned some extensive touring through out the South.
